A giant explosion at a warehouse in Beirut port sent a shock wave through the city at about 18:00 local time on Tuesday August 4. 

The shock wave levelled buildings near the explosion site and caused extensive damage over much of the capital. Rescue workers continue digging through the rubble looking for survivors, more than 145 were killed and 5,000 were injured. As many as 300,000 people have been made temporarily homeless, 80,000 of them are children.

A large part of Lebanon’s medical supplies and drugs inventory were damaged in the blast, the country is also in dire need of reconstruction material and other supplies. You can help by donating for social subsidies to:
